An exciting opportunity exists for an enthusiastic EMR Communication Advisor to join the Public Affairs team at Northern Health.
Northern Health plans to implement an integrated EMR System with the Vision ‘One patient’ ‘One integrated record’ and with the purpose to optimise the quality and safety of our patient care. Northern Health is planning for the EMR deployment to be in place by mid-2022 which will bring us to a level 5+ HIMSS EMRAM scale of EMR adoption.
The role:
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and dynamic communications professional to work on a large complex project to plan and implement communication and marketing activities to support the successful delivering of the EMR program at NH.
As the Communication Advisor for the EMR Program you will report to the manager of Public Affairs and assist with the development and implementation of an overarching communication strategy to support the EMR program. Working with the EMR team you will be responsible for;
· Developing and implementing communication and marketing activities that meet the needs of NH’s wide range of stakeholders,
· Creating a timely and engaging news cycle for the EMR program, which aligns with the program’s phases, overarching communication strategy and change approach
· Ensuring consistent communication across a range of channels, including local intranet, social media, website, e-newsletter and others identified in the communications strategy
In the first instance this role is a part time fixed term position at 48 hours per fortnight for approximately two years.
About you:

A tertiary qualification in communications or related discipline

Proven experience in the implementation of large-scale communication programs, ideally within a healthcare setting or as part of a large change transformation project

Demonstrated ability to advise on and implement communication plans to achieve organisational objectives
