The Early Intervention Program is seeking an experienced children’s counsellor to join their team in Caboolture.
We are seeking a motivated individual to join our small and dedicated team to deliver intensive prevention and early intervention services for children and young people, who have been identified as at high risk of child abuse and neglect, and their families. These services are provided in instances where a statutory child protection response is not appropriate, but where significant support is required for the children, young people and the family.
Applicants also require effective communication, organisational skills, to work autonomously and as part of a team.
What do you need to be successful in this role?
- • A Tertiary qualification in Counselling, Psychology or Social Work and eligibility for membership of a relevant professional association.
- Current Qld Drivers Licence - Presentation of a current Drivers Licence must be made before your appointment to the position can be confirmed.
- Suitability Card for Child Related Employment (Blue Card) - All adults who work with people under 18 years in QLD are required to undergo a “Working with Children Check” under the screening provisions of the Commission for Children and Young People Act (2000) - Presentation of a current Suitability Card must be made before your appointment to the position can be confirmed.
- A criminal history check may be conducted on the recommended person for this position.
