Position Summary

The Opportunity

We are currently seeking expressions of interest for a dedicated Service Leader to join our team on a Maximum Term Full Time basis for 6 months with possibility for extension.

As a Service Leader you will coordinate the day to day operations of our Residential Care Service, Williams House, pairing your passion for working with children and youth with your knowledge and understanding of legislation underpinning the provision of services within a therapeutic care environment.

You will assist in the delivery of high quality support, helping to ensure young people living in out of home care are able to achieve their goals and maintain socially valued roles, friendships and relationships.

Please note that our service operated 24/7 and will require you to be flexible to the requirements of the service within these hours. 

About You:

This position calls for an individual with the ability to build effortless rapport with young people who may demonstrate dissociative behaviours due to trauma.

In addition to the above you will also be required to have:

  • Tertiary qualification in a relevant field (Social Work, Psychology or Social Science). Lesser formal qualifications with extensive experience to an equivalent standard may be recognised.
  • Experience adhering to practice and therapeutic frameworks, continuously working towards quality outcomes for the young people we support.  
  • Current Working with Children Blue card
  • Open QLD driver’s licence, a Senior First Aid certificate and be willing to undergo a personal history check under the provision of child protection act 1999 in relation to licensing of care services.
