Position Summary

UnitingCare provides health and community services to thousands of people every day of the year through its services in Family and Disability Services, Health, Aged Care and Community Services, Retirement Living and Retail. These services encompass 8 major brands including UnitingCare, Blue Care, The Wesley Hospital, St Andrews, Buderim Private and St Stephens Hospitals, Lifeline and ARRCS (Australian Regional and Remote Community Services).

The Opportunity:

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Service Leader to join our Intensive Family Support team based in Toowoomba on a Full Time basis. The Intensive Family Support Service assists vulnerable families to address multiple and/or complex needs and build their capacity to safely care for and protect their children. 

As the Service Leader, you will manage the day to day operations of the service with emphasis on delivery of high quality, best practice service delivery. You will provide professional leadership to employees through participative supervision, professional development and performance management with service excellence for our clients as a continued priority.

About You:

The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience leading a dynamic team as well as experience working with families and children within a child protection context. You will be driven to achieve service performance outcomes and have the ability to provide ongoing quality supervison and training. 

Supplementing this, you will present with:

  • Tertiary Qualification in a relevant field (e.g., Social Work, Psychology or Social Science) as required by relevant service contracts
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills with the ability to network and build rapport with a variety of stakeholders.
  • A current Blue Care (or be willing to obtain one)
  • An Open Queensland Drivers Licence
