Position Summary

We are currently seeking to appoint a First Response Case Worker to work as a part of our Koolkuna Women's Refuge based on the north side of Brisbane on a Full Time basis. 

The Role:

This role will provide professional, practical and emotional support to the women and children who engage in our services. This support will include but will not be limited to; case management and advocacy, transporting clients and assisting access to services and provisions, housing services, safety planning and risk assessment.

About You:

The successful candidate will have demonstrated skills and practical experience in working with children and families who are impacted by domestic violence. In addition you will have experience in the area of homelessness and/or supported accommodation with practical capabilities to support women and children emotionally while understanding family interaction and child development. Due to the nature of this service, the successful candidate will need to be available on-call.

Supplementing the above you will possess tertiary qualifications within a relevant field. You will also have a current QLD Drivers licence and will have or be willing to obtain a working with children blue card.
