The Opportunity:

This is an exciting opportunity to join UC’s Family & Disability Services Team and contribute to the Lifeline Queensland $50m Retail Business, across sales, exports and operations. As the Regional Business Manager – Ipswich, you will provide effective and professional operational leadership to the Lifeline Retail Team while ensuring strong and sustainable sales results; business and revenue growth; sustainability and growth of our workforce and supporting UC’s Mission focused on community.

Supplementing the above, responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to:

• Executing the implementation of the Lifeline Business strategy to drive revenue growth; margin and optimised business value.
• Developing and cultivating strong stakeholder relationships to ensure a proactive customer focused service that maximises customer engagement.
• Co-ordinating major initiatives, programs and projects as well as promotional and fundraising activities.
• Providing input into the development; redevelopment and refurbishment of Lifeline stores, ensuring new/refurbished product is ‘fit for purpose’.
• Developing and implementing effective processes in relation to collection, sorting, pricing, transport and maintenance functions in consultation with State Retail Manager.

About you:

To be successful in this role, you will be an inspiring and flexible leader with experience in leading change and managing all aspects of a large retail business with a focus on business development and improvement.

In addition, the successful candidate will ideally have:

• Experience in design thinking and innovative approaches to problem solving
• Extensive experience in leading teams to deliver strong financial performance (profit balance sheet and cash flow) translatable to Retail portfolio performance and asset/business management value.
• Experience in successfully contributing to the budget, planning, review and evaluation of the business at a strategic level
• Demonstrated experience in asset/business enhancement and delivering results.
• A solid understanding of the future retail trends, directions and influences and competitive landscape with retail operations and distribution.
• High level interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills including the ability to collaborate, facilitate networks and liaise with a wide range of stakeholders.
