Our Program:
Remote Area Family Services (RAFS) is a mobile early education service, focused on the delivery of good quality early years education, care and family support. The focus of the service is directed to families with children from birth to 5 years of age who, due to their geographical location, or other identified need, are unable to access mainstream early childhood services.
The Role:
We are currently seeking to appoint an Early Years Educator on a Full Time basis. This role will primarily be based in Longreach with regular outreach to the surrounding region. You will travel to remote areas to provide early learning sessions and support which may include playgroups, home visits, parenting support, toy library and parent resource library, information and referral. This role will see you actively engage, assess and develop educational programs and materials using the Early Years Learning Framework to enhance the development of the children.
About you:
You will have a genuine passion for working with families to implement early childhood development programs while providing support to and strengthening the family unit.
Supplementing this you will hold, or actively be working towards, a minimum Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care or similar, a driver’s license, current Senior First Aid/CPR and a working with children blue card (or the ability to obtain). Previous experience working inclusively with or as a part of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community would be highly regarded.
