Uniting Care Better Futures are currently looking for a motivated person who is passionate about facilitating opportunities alongside people with disabilities to join our team as Service Coordinator – Disability Service Delivery, on a Full Time basis located in our Aitkenvale, Townsville office.

The Role:

In this role you will report to the Disability Services Manager and be responsible for executing the operational plan for the planning, delivery, workforce management & financial sustainability of NDIS services to clients. You will be responsible for the development, supervision & mentoring of Lead Practitioners & support workers, giving guidance and leadership to employees delivering disability services.

The Service Coordinator – Disability Service Delivery ensures the mechanisms exist operationally to account for service provision to clients serviced elsewhere by UCQ and for increasing the delivery of services in a financially sustainable manner. You will participate in & manage business development & operational plans for delivery of capacity building to UCQ clients by working collaboratively with the Service Design Coordinator & other service leaders. You will play a critical part in relationship management & business development roles with external services to ensure overall client outcomes are met.

About You:

You will have excellent leadership capabilities with the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders, along with highly developed interpersonal communication skills to assist you in building rapport with fellow staff & with the people we support, their family and their support teams. In addition you will have experience with service delivery and redesign at an individual and group level preferably within disability.

Supplementing the above, you will hold at least a Certificate 3 level qualification in Community Services, Management or related field, intermediate systems experience (including MS Office and Care Management Systems) and a current Qld Driver Licence. An understanding of the NDIS and it’s applications in a client focused service model. You will also hold a current Working with Children Check (Blue Card) and a positive notice for working with people with a disability (Yellow Card), or have the ability to apply for these.
