Position Summary

We are currently seeking a motivated individual to join our Intensive Family Support Service as a Domestic Family Violence Specialist Facilitator, based in Toowoomba on a Part Time basis. 

The Role:

In this role you will coordinate the provision of services in response to incidences of domestic and family violence, engage with affected families and develop appropriate service responses. You will have experience in providing specialist advice and interventions which supports families that are affected by domestic and family violence.

The role will provide specialist advice and interventions to vulnerable families that are affected by domestic and family violence to achieve safer communities.  Additionally, it will provide a culturally appropriate support and counselling service to minority groups affected by domestic and family violence, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.  

What do you need to be successful in this role?

  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant Human Services field and where relevant registration with a nationally recognised professional body is a requirement.
  • Eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers, the Australian Psychological Society, or the Psychotherapist and Counsellors Federation of Australia is required. 
  • Suitability Card for Child Related Employment (Blue Card).
  • Current Qld Driver Licence.
  • The successful applicant must be eligible to legally work in Australia and proof of eligibility may be requested. 

Remuneration

base salary + super+ salary packaging + employee benefits
