Position Summary

We are currently seeking to appoint an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Service Leader to work as a part of our UnitingCare Team based in Bundaberg on a Full Time basis. 

The Role:

The purpose of this position is to manage the day to day operations of the Guwanu CaSE Program and provide professional leadership to employees with emphasis on delivery of high quality, best practice service delivery.

Leadership of Child and Family Services is evidenced-based, guided by the principles of Child and Family's practice frameworks which may include for example CARE (Children and Residential Experiences), TCI (Therapeutic Crisis Intervention) and TC (Transforming Care).  This role is required to work cooperatively across UnitingCare programs to derive maximum benefit for people accessing services.

This position requires travel from time to time and is required to be undertaken by a person who identifies as an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander.

About You:

You will need a Tertiary Qualification in a relevant field (e.g., Social Work, Psychology or Social Science) or a lesser formal qualification with acquisition of considerable skills and extensive and diverse relevant experience to an equivalent standard.  A current Drivers Licence and Positive Blue Card (or ability to obtain one) are also required.

Selection Criteria Essential: Tertiary qualification in a relevant field (e.g., Social Work, Psychology or Social Science) as reuired by relevant service contract/s.
Essential: Lesser formal qualification with acquisition of considerable skills and extensive and diverse relevant experience to an equivalent standard.
Essential: Significant working experience in providing services to children and families.
Essential: Knowledge of relevant legislation, policy and licensing requirements associated with line of service.
Essential: Demonstrated experience in leading a team to achieve service performance outcomes together with an ability to provide quality supervision and training.
Essential: Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
Essential: Highly developed interpersonal and communication frameworks and practices, that are congruent with a strengths approach and demonstrate professional integrity, with respect to such matters as confidentiality and client interests.
Essential: Excellent knowledge of MS Office.
