Position Summary

UnitingCare is seeking a motivated individual to join our team in Early Childhood Partnership with the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA).  You will have paediatric experience working within a community, multidisciplinary setting and be passionate about making a difference in the lives of families with children with a disability. 

Your Role will be to provide initial support and therapy services to young children with a developmental delay or disability. In addition you will also:

  • Provide information, guidance and practical therapeutic assistance to families and young children
  • Work collaboratively with families in a key worker model to build the family's capacity to support their children's development
  • Provide therapeutic intervention

What do you need to be successful in this role?

  • Qualifications, registration and experience in Occupational Therapy
  • Demonstrated understanding of evidence-based practice within Early Childhood Early Intervention
  • Experience identifying and developing appropriate goals and outcomes for young children and families
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, problem-solving, negotiation and leadership skills
  • Demonstrated ability to use initiative and to work collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary team
  • Capability to commit to some travel

Remuneration

Base salary + super+ salary packaging + employee benefits
