We are currently seeking self-motivated and enthusiastic individuals to join our dedicated staff to work as a part of our UnitingCare  Disability Team.

The Role:

You will engage with children and young people who have disabilities to enhance life skills through play and recreational activities. Support  maybe in their homes or in the community.

you may also be required to pick up  the child from school and assist with homework. Children learn through play so having lots of fun is essential. 

The role includes, supporting children  and young people with daily personal care and hygiene requirements including but not limited to meal time preparation,  mobility,  medical support and personal care support where necessary.

About You:

You will have a passion for working with children with a zest and enthusiasm that will help you in keeping things interesting while providing a stimulating environment for the children and young people we support. You will be a natural caregiver with previous experience or a genuine desire to work with young people and children who have varying disabilities.

Supplementing the above you will have a Certificate III in Child Care, Early education or relevant industry experience and currently hold or be willing to obtain a Blue Care, Yellow Card and currently CPR and First Aid Certificate.
