Position Summary

We are currently seeking to appoint a Practice Trainer to work as a part of our UnitingCare Team on a Full Time basis. This role can be based in either Brisbane, Central QLD or North/Far North QLD.

The Role:

As a Practice Trainer, you will utilise content and specialist knowledge and thought leadership to deliver and create practice training opportunities across a diverse portfolio of services, to ensure the consistent delivery of agreed practice frameworks, models and tools required. Your ability to engage an audience, influence stakeholders of all levels, and promote best practice will help support quality outcomes for vulnerable individuals, children, families and communities across the State.

About You:

The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience in delivering practice training across a diverse range of staffing disciplines, for example: Out of Home Care Services, Child and Family Services, Community Services, Counselling Services, Disability Services and Family Mediation. Supplementing this, you will have a tertiary qualification in a relevant field (e.g, Human Services, Social Work, Psychology, Community Services) with extensive specialist knowledge of at least one of the core service delivery areas and a working knowledge of a further core service delivery area.

The successful candidate is required to have a current Working with Children Positive Notice (Blue Card) and a current Drivers License. A Certificate in Assessment and Training, Adult Education or equivalent is also desirable.

Applicants must be willing and able to travel interstate as required (with notice).

Selection Criteria Essential: Demonstrated experience in delivering practice training across diverse range of staffing disciplines for example: Out of Home Care Services and Community, Financial Counselling and Family Mediation staff.
Desirable: Certificate in Assessment and Training, Adult Education or equivalent.
Essential: Knowledge of Practice Training Modules and Out Of Home Care Licencing, eg, CARE, Case Management, TCI.
Essential: Demonstrated professional credibility and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with colleagues to positively influence outcomes.
Essential: Describe a situation when you have been met with resistance from an audience you were training. Outline how you responded, what values were demonstrated and the outcome achieved, including any further follow up that was required.
