Position Summary

UnitingCare Family and Disability Services is seeking a Local Service Manager within the Family Law Program - Southern Regional Queensland. Whilst the position will support vulnerable families and program staff across Southern Regional Queensland the position will be based in the Bundaberg Family Relationship Centre.

The Role:

This position will provide the suitable applicant the opportunity to lead and manage a professional work group in providing family mediation/ dispute resolution, family and community law supports across Southern Regional Queensland.

In addition to direct program support this position will form part of Uniting Care’s extended Regional Queensland leadership group and provide the applicant with the opportunity to represent the needs of Regional Queenslanders.

About You:

As a suitable applicant you will have a demonstrated and extensive knowledge and understanding of Family law contexts and environments and Children and Family services at state and national levels and experience in creating an inclusive team culture in line with Uniting Care’s values.

This experience and knowledge will be supported by you holding formal tertiary qualifications and current national registration as a Family Dispute Practitioner.

Selection Criteria Essential: Demonstrated skills and sound knowledge gained through substantial experience working with children and families.
Essential: Demonstrated experience in leading a team to achieve service performance outcomes together with an ability to provide quality supervision and training.

Essential: Demonstrated experience in managing programs within budget. Contributing to budget planning cycles and relating contractual obligations to financial accountability requirements.
Essential: Work within relevant quality and risk frameworks and guidelines in accordance with relevant standards to ensure delivery of high quality services, respect of clients' rights and confidentiality.
