Do you have a passion for making a positive change in the lives of children and families? Bundaberg Family Relationship Centre is seeking an energetic and motivated individual to join our small dedicated team delivering family dispute resolution services to families in the Wide Bay, Fraser Coast and Burnett areas. This position is available for a fixed term period of 6 months with the possibility of extension. Working hours and days are flexible to suit the preferred applicant and service mutually.
In this role you will have
- Demonstrated knowledge of and ability to comply with the requirements of the Australian Family Law Act, Regulations and Rules, to assist families to deal co-operatively and practically with relationships and separations ensuring that children come first
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with strong emphasis on the abilities to mediate effectively with a wide range of clients and other stakeholders; build strong networks and work collaboratively with colleagues and other professionals in the areas of law, health and welfare
- An excellent interpersonal and communication skill with strong emphasis on the ability to write concise statements providing information to clients that conforms to legal requirements.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with strong emphasis on the abilities to maintain records and prepare accurate reports and case summaries for the use of colleagues and other professionals.
What do you need to be successful in this role?
- Tertiary qualifications in the Social Sciences, Law or a related discipline including Graduate Diploma of Family Dispute Resolution.
- Demonstrated success in dispute resolution and sound knowledge and understanding of current family dispute resolution practices and related issues and intervention processes.
- This role requires travel so you will need to hold a current driver's licence.
- You will need a Suitability Card for Child Related Employment (Blue Card) or be willing to undergo a "Working with Children Check" and a criminal history check may be conducted.
Remuneration
base salary + super+ salary packaging + employee benefits
