Position Summary |
Are you passionate about improving the lives of children in the child protection system? We are seeking an enthusiastic, resilient, self-motivated and reliable person for a Casual Youth Worker position in our Emerald Out of Home Care team. Ideally you would have some experience in working with youth, with residential experience a distinct advantage. An understanding of the practical care of traumatised children is required as well as some understanding of why children come into the care system. Applicants must be available to work overnight shifts including some weekends as we operate a 24/7 roster.
What do you need to be successful in this role?
- Current Blue Suitability Card (or willing to apply for one)
- A Qld Driver’s Licence (must be open and valid licence – to be confirmed prior to offer of employment)
- A Senior First Aid Certificate (must be valid and hold prior to employment)
- A Disability Services Qld History Check (or willing to apply for one
Remuneration
base salary + super+ salary packaging
