St Vincent’s Private Melbourne is a facility of St Vincent’s Health Australia under the stewardship of Mary Aikenhead Ministries.  We are a not for profit Catholic private hospital which operates across three sites at Fitzroy, East Melbourne, Kew and Werribee (opening in 2017).

 

An opportunity exists for an enthusiastic Health Information Manager/Clinical Coder to join our supportive coding team. You will benefit from our coding education & mentor program and extensive internal and external coding audits. You will have access to our coding education and mentoring program and exposure to internal and external coding audits. 

 

You will also be working for one of the leading private not-for-profit healthcare providers in Victoria whilst performing the following:

  • Allocate disease and procedure codes for each hospital discharge using the official NCCH Australian version of ICD-10 AM

Applicants will have:

  • Bachelor of Health Information Management or Completion of the HIMAA Intermediate Clinical Coding Course
  • 2 years experience using ICD-10 AM and DRG assignment
  • Good knowledge of Australian Coding Standards
  • Knowledge of DRGs and Casemix
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve targets and meet deadlines
  • High level of computer literacy
