Coordinator – Specialist Assessment

The Role (Full Time)

Working within the International Medical Graduates (IMG) team, this important role reviews the assessment applications for IMGs seeking specialist registration and/or Fellowship of RACS. You will therefore be responsible for coordinating the assessment process through providing a preliminary evaluation of the applicants’ submissions, checking that all the required documentation has been provided, coordinating the reference process and maintaining the appropriate records in order for a formal assessment review to take place.  With additional responsibility for coordinating the interview stage of the assessment process as well as the induction workshops, you will ensure the smooth running of the events whilst also ensuring that all relevant documentation is in place and records updated.

With a total salary package of circa $65,000 (depending on skills and experience), this role will be offered on a 2 year contract.

As the ideal candidate you will have:

  • Exceptional organisation skills with the ability to effectively prioritise tasks, meet deadlines and perform tasks in a timely and efficient manner
  • Excellent attention to detail with a demonstrated ability to review and understand complex written material in order to produce written reports and correspondence
  • A warm, engaging and positive professional approach and have the written and oral communication skills required to adapt and negotiate in a flexible and rapidly changing environment
  • A proven track record in developing great relationships with stakeholders with the ability to build productive relationships with a wider range of internal and external stakeholders
