Our four campuses offer services to a vastly diverse community. A career in one of the Allied Health disciplines offers exceptional opportunities for personal and professional development. Opportunities in evidence based research and clinical education are available through the Northern Centre for Health and Research and the Professor of Clinical and Community Practice. Northern Health is committed to structured supervision and provides opportunities for professional development.

An excellent opportunity exists for an enthusiastic Grade 3 Allied Health Assistant (AHA) to join the Northern Health inpatient team servicing medical and aged care patients in the acute and subacute wards. This role is currently based at Broadmeadows Hospital, however you may be required to work and travel across the various Northern Health Campuses, programs, and partner organisations. As a member of Northern Health Allied Health the AHA will be required to participate in supervision and supervise AHA students.

The AHA will carry out clinical support activities which promote patient centred care, improve patient flow, and facilitate timely discharges. The AHA will provide individual and group based therapy, and complete administrative tasks as required by the Allied Health disciplines. The role will include assisting with the maintenance and cleaning of equipment. Applicants will need to undertake a Police Check and have a current Victorian drivers licence.
