Health Information Manager – Forms Coordinator (1.0 FTE)

Northern Health is the major provider of acute, sub-acute and ambulatory specialist

services in Melbourne’s northern region, one of the fastest growing communities in

Australia. Our acute and sub-acute health services cover over 555,000 people in our

primary and secondary catchment areas, and we offer a range of in-patient and outpatient

services to people at all stages of life. Northern Health covers five campuses;

Northern Hospital Epping, Broadmeadows Hospital, Bundoora, Craigieburn, and Panch Health Service.  Our Client Data Management services processes and scans over  500,000 documents per month into the Clinical Patient Folder (CPF-scanned medical record).

An exciting opportunity exists for an enthusiastic highly motivated Health Information Manager to join the Client Data Management Team at Northern Health. 

The Health Information Manager Forms Coordinator would suit a Health Information Manager who has an interest in clinical forms design, implementation, management and governance and an interest in the scanned medical record (CPF).  The role will be responsible for managing and maintaining the PROMPT forms database and will be responsible for the design, management and coordination of the medical record forms design process for Northern Health including the creation of electronic forms within CPF and CPF auditing activity.

Remuneration: Grade 1- Grade 2, dependant on experience.

Essential:

Bachelor of Health Information Management

Ability to interpret data and develop detailed business cases in support of strategic initiatives.

Literacy in IT systems that support information management and reporting in a large complex organisation.

Knowledge and ability to apply the National Safety and Quality Health Standards

Knowledge and understanding of all relevant information management legislations, standards and guidelines

 Preferred Criteria:

Eligible for full membership with HIMAA

Demonstrated knowledge of the Client Patient Folder (CPF) or other scanned medical record system.

Experience in Clinical Forms Design

Attention to detail whilst still able to  work to deadlines
