This opportunity will suit applicants who are high performing and committed to evidence based practice and patient centred care. The Food Service Dietitian component of this role will be responsible for development, implementation and review of food service policies, procedures, standards, education and practice (including assisting with menu review and implementation).

 

The Acute Grade 3 Dietitian component of this role is accountable for providing quality client care through the application of competent clinical skills in assessment, planning, implementation of treatment and management of clients with acute medical conditions.  The role will promote best practice and demonstrate clinical leadership within the dietetics team at the Northern Hospital.  The role will ensure excellence in client care through the provision of education and supervision to grade 1 and grade 2 staff.  The role will also be responsible for the day to day workload allocations and dietetic service delivery and provide operational support to the Grade 4 Senior Clinical Dietitian.

To be successful in this role your key accountabilities will be to: 

  • Provide high, quality evidenced base clinical care (in the area of oncology and acute medical)
  • Seek to continuously evaluate and improve services
  • Demonstrate ability to be flexible in service delivery to adjust to the needs of the organisation
