A new and exciting opportunity exists for an enthusiastic, experienced and highly motivated HIM/Clinical Coder to join the Clinical Documentation Improvement (CDI) team based within the Health Information Management Unit at Northern Health. The successful applicant will work as part of the CDI team to engage with clinical staff, review clinical documentation at the point of care and provide education to improve documentation practices.

 

We require an enthusiastic Health Information Manager / Clinical Coder with effective communication and organisational skills that can work in a team environment and relate well to all levels of staff. 

 

About you:

Essential:

  • Eligible for full membership with HIMAA,
  • Effective communication and management skills,
  • Ability to achieve targets and deadlines,
  • Thorough understanding of anatomy and physiology.

Desirable:

  • Experience using a scanned medical record,
  • Knowledge of current casemix funding models.
