An exciting opportunity exists for an enthusiastic Grade 3 Pharmacist Clinical Team Leader to join the Pharmacy team at Northern Health. 

The Team Leader (Oncology and Women’s & Children) has responsibility for the organisation, implementation and supervision of clinical pharmacy services for the Oncology and Women’s & Children Directorate. Through clinical expertise have governance responsibilities for the service including ensuring the competency, credentialing, supervision and professional development of their team. They will have a leading role in ensuring excellence in client care, evidence-based practice, service improvement and risk management.

The Senior Clinician will work closely with the Deputy Director of Pharmacy, Associate Director and Director of Pharmacy to monitor, evaluate and develop their service area and supervise the performance of their team.  They will work collaboratively with the Pharmacy Department to achieve the strategic outcomes of the Department.  The senior clinician also has a key role in the student program and for driving research and innovation. They will ensure they and other ward pharmacists conduct pharmaceutical review activities in accordance with department requirements, SHPA standards of practice, accreditation and legislative requirements.

The Team Leader (Oncology and Women’s & Children) may also be a member of the Pharmacy Strategy and Leadership Group that reports to the Director of Pharmacy on matters to ensure focus on the pharmacy vision and achievement of strategic goals.

The role will require staff to be flexible with their working hours to meet the changing operations demands and can include working after hours, on weekends and public holidays.  Staff will be required to travel and work across the various Northern Health campuses, programs, and partner organisations. 

Compliance with mandatory training as per NH Policy is a requirement of this role. Failure to complete this training within required timeframes may result in a suspension of duties until training is completed.
