Consultant Haematologist
Sessional - 7 hours / fortnight. Please note this role commences in November 2018.
The successful candidate will be doing one clinic a week in our outpatient space.
Haematology Service
The Northern Hospital has a rapidly expanding clinical haematology service which manages a range of both malignant and non-malignant haematological conditions including a large thrombosis service. Our team aims to provide excellent quality treatment locally for our multicultural population.
The clinical haematology team is supported by the Haematology Research Unit, which runs clinical trials and in-house research studies, in collaboration with the Australian Centre for Blood Diseases. In addition to providing a consult liaison service for non-malignant haematology, blood transfusion and coagulation disorders, the Clinical Haematology Service at Northern Health manages most haematological malignancies including acute and chronic leukaemias, lymphoma, myeloma as well as capable of providing post-autograft support.
Credentialing and Scope of Clinical Practice
All applicants must participate; the appointee must participate in the Credentialing and Scope of Practice process at Northern Health by completing the Credentialing and Scope of Clinical Practice applications via the electronic credentialing system - CGov prior to interview.

Credentialing and Scope of Clinical Practice will be reviewed on a regular basis in line with Northern Health policy.
