Moreland City Council’s Assessment Services Unit is a Regional Assessment Service Outlet for My Aged Care/Commonwealth Home Support Program and responsible for undertaking Assessments for eligible residents living within the community via My Aged Care and the HACC Program for Younger People.
The Assessment Services Unit is offering a fantastic opportunity for an Intake Administration Officer who enjoys contact with the community and working with a dynamic team. This is a new and exciting role that is responsible for managing MAC assessment reception enquiries, the screening and allocation of My Aged Care Assessment Referrals and the screening and triaging of referrals for the HACC Program for Younger People.
The position is also responsible for undertaking administrative tasks for the Assessment Services team. The successful applicant will have an understanding and commitment to an approach which is person centred, and consumer directed. The person we are looking for will have excellent communication skills, interpersonal and problem solving skills, strong customer service and time management skills, with the ability to contribute to improving systems and work practices.
The successful candidate will hold a minimum Certificate IV in Community Services or equivalent with relevant demonstrated experience working within a similar role. A community language is also highly desirable.
