Environmental Sustainability Officer

A rewarding opportunity exists for a professional and experienced Environmental Sustainability Officer within our Infrastructure Operations & Waste team.
This role focuses on enhancing the sustainability, quality and amenity of the natural environment of Latrobe City, by assisting the development, delivery and maintenance of effective environment protection and enhancement strategies, and community awareness of biodiversity and environmental issues.
A large part of this role will involve liaison and communication with the
Community and stakeholders, including contractors, community environmental groups and individuals, primary industries and Government agencies, providing advice, investigation and reporting on relevant issues.
To be successful in this role you will have well developed communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to research and provide considered advice and sound project management skills.
A tertiary qualification in environmental science or relevant field, along with demonstrated practical environmental experience and a current driver’s licence are required.
