Position Summary

Latrobe Regional Hospital (LRH) is a 289 bed hospital and is the largest regional hospital in Gippsland providing a comprehensive range of health care services including acute, sub-acute, ambulatory care, aged and mental health care services along with community based mental health services. 


We are currently seeking Registered Nurses to enter the Graduate Nurse Program in 2018. The Graduate Nurse Program offers a dynamic and well-structured graduate experience in a progressive, friendly supportive environment.


The Program offers three 4-month rotations over a 12 month period, with all Graduates commencing in a Medical, Surgical or Rehabilitation Unit. A second rotation will be in one of the following: Medical/Surgical, Medical/Palliative, or Orthopaedic. A third rotation will be in a specialty unit. Specialty units include chemotherapy, critical care, dialysis, emergency, the health independence program (HIP), hospital in the home (HITH), mental health, or the operating suite.

Applicants must be registered by the start of the program with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). Participants in previous Graduate Programs are ineligible to apply.

The positions will be filled on fixed term part time basis, with intakes commencing 29 January and 14 May 2018.
