Position Summary

Rural Allied Health Team - Physiotherapist (Grade 2)
Permanent position
Full-time - 80 hrs/fortnight available

Supported by an experienced team an opportunity is available for a Grade 2 Physiotherapist to join the GV Health Rural Allied Health Team. The team is an established and progressive multi-disciplinary team which includes Dietetics, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy Podiatry, Social Work and Speech Pathology services.

The Physiotherapist will provide person centred care with an opportunity to:
- Travel across the Goulburn Valley region working in home based settings
- Work with clients, carers and families to provide practical solutions to promote independence and mobility at home and in the community
- Develop goals and care plans to assist clients to remain at home and active in their local community
- Advise on walking aids, mobility and balance and complete home exercise programs
- Work with a diverse range of clients and health conditions
- Undertake teaching and training opportunities with local service providers
- Participate in student training programs

Applicants must have:
- Bachelor of Applied Science (Physiotherapy).
- Current registration with the AHPRA.
- Broad knowledge and experience in the planning, implementation, delivery and evaluation of current Physiotherapy programs within home and community-based settings.
- Be self motivated with a high level of communication, organisational and time management skills
- Be able to work independently and as a member of a team
- Hold a current motor vehicle licence.

Selection Criteria Essential: Bachelor of Applied Science (Physiotherapy) or equivalent and eligibility for membership of professional association.
Essential: Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
Essential: Knowledge & experience in the planning, implementation and evaluation of current Physiotherapy practice within home and community settings.
Essential: Experience in the delivery of Physiotherapy services to clients with complex presentations, inclusive of complex health conditions, memory impairment, cultural and diverse backgrounds.
Essential: Experience in providing services within a self management framework and active service model/reablement approach to care delivery
Essential: Excellent interpersonal, written and communication skills, including computer literacy and the ability to produce well-written reports.
Essential: The ability to work collaboratively as an individual practitioner within an interdisciplinary team environment including the ability to initiate and maintain effective professional relationships.
Essential: Proven organisational and time management skills with an ability to prioritise and manage a diverse caseload.
Essential: Satisfactory National Criminal History Record Check upon commencement of employment and a current Victorian Drivers Licence.
Desirable: Experience working with frail older people, people with disabilities and their carers, and people living in rural communities.
Desirable: An ability to liaise with a broad range of regional service providers, equipment suppliers and members of the community.
Desirable: Eligible for State Wide Equipment Program (SWEP) Prescriber registration.
