Are you the passionate and visionary traffic engineering leader we are looking for?

We are looking for an experienced traffic engineering leader to work in one of the fastest growing cities in Australia with the kind of lifestyle few cities can boast about.

At City of Gold Coast our commitment to a shared set of values shapes 'How We Do Things' – our decisions, actions and behaviours towards achieving the City Vision and our many city priorities.

  • We aim high – we are passionate about delivering the best for our city
  • We add value – we are innovative and make the most of every opportunity
  • We work as a team – our people are great individually, but unstoppable together
  • We take responsibility – we are committed to working safely, being trustworthy and owning our actions

The Coordinator Traffic Engineering is a key member of the Transport and Traffic branch leadership team and is responsible for shaping the future of the city by leading a team of specialised traffic engineering officers to create sustainable solutions for a wide range of traffic engineering issues.

About you

As the ideal candidate, you will be an experienced traffic engineering professional with excellent leadership skills.

Your colleagues in the workplace will have described you as an outstanding people leader and someone who inspires others. You are achievement focused, working with both your own and your teams strengths and talents, as well as expanding your knowledge and skills.

You understand the importance of achieving results through the right values and behaviours. You are a reliable, courageous and confident person who takes responsibility and safety seriously. You are open to receiving feedback, and you are comfortable providing feedback when you identify things that can be done differently to deliver more effective outcomes. You understand and are committed to contributing to and challenging the way we do things and to being part of the change that helps us evolve and ensure the City remains a great place to live and work.
