About the Position

The Lifestyle and Community Directorate has over $1.8 billion dollars' worth of parks, recreation and communtiy facility assets. This role is part of a new innovative dynamic asset and project team, and will partner with a cohort of asset management planners across five branches within the directorate. 

Key deliverables for the position

  • Develop and coordinate asset management, capital works planning and maintenance planning improvements to increase asset management capability and performance within the directorate,
  • Coordinate the development of all directorate asset management plans with asset management planners, and provide improvement advice via peer reviews,
  • Facilitate and where necessary, write asset management plans for smaller asset custodian areas,
  • Coordinate the development of a 10 year capital program that underpins the asset management plans, and facilitate the development of a robust 4 year capital works program,
  • With input and feedback from the asset management cohort, author the annual asset condition and renewal report for presentation to Council committee,
  • Develop asset management and capital works content and analysis, to support various leadership and decision making forums
  • Coordinate asset revaluation activities and where relevant produce documents to support asset revaluations.

About You

  • You have excellent communication skills, and collaborate, provide mentorship and leadership to your peers and team mates;
  • You are passionate about improving asset management practice, capital works program planning and associated systems and processes;
  • You can develop, facilitate and present information to officers at various levels within an organisation;
  • You have tertiary qualifications in asset management or equivalent knowledge and experience;
  • You have demonstrated practical application of asset management and capital works program management.
