About the Position

The position is based within the People and Culture Branch’s Recruitment Team.

In the role of Recruitment Consultant you will assist your internal business clients to source, select and appoint staff for vacant positions across Council, through establishing strong relationships and gaining a full understanding of their recruitment needs and workforce plans.

Accountabilities of the position:

  • Develop recruitment strategies to source, select and appoint new employees into council.
  • Develop advertisement copy.
  • Manage screening and shortlisting processes.
  • Manage co-ordination of interviews with relevant hiring managers.
  • Interview shortlisted candidates.
  • Conduct pre-employment screening checks.
  • On Boarding of new employees into the business.
  • Stakeholder engagement.

About You

You will have had extensive recruitment experience having managed end to end recruitment using an HRIS and on line recruitment systems as key tools in the process, and you will have successfully managed high volumes of work in a fast paced environment.  

You will have a positive attitude and a team spirit that will contribute to the core values of How We Do Things.
