Are you the passionate and visionary traffic engineering leader we are looking for?

We are on the hunt for an experienced traffic engineering leader to work in one of the fastest growing cities in Australia with the kind of lifestyle few cities can boast about.

The Coordinator Traffic Engineering is a key member of the Transport and Traffic Branch leadership team and is responsible for shaping the future of the city by inspiring a team of specialised traffic engineering officers to create sustainable solutions to a wide range of traffic engineering issues.

About You

As the ideal candidate, you will be an experienced traffic engineering professional with excellent leadership skills.

Your colleagues in the workplace will have described you as an outstanding people leader and someone who inspires others. You thrive on managing the various demands of senior leadership, direct reports, stakeholders and customers.  You get the bigger picture, can describe our vision, and you make sure your team is constantly working towards achieving their individual and team goals.

You will also be a great problem solver – you are extremely resourceful and quick on your feet. You will be the go-to person when we’re trying to figure out a difficult traffic engineering problem because you will know what to do. You are organised and have a passion for service excellence. You get the importance of balancing quality with efficiency and show a 'getting the job done well' philosophy in all that you do. You are achievement focused, working with both your own and your teams strengths and talents, as well as expanding your knowledge and skills.

You understand the importance of achieving results through the right values and behaviours. You are a reliable, courageous and confident person who takes responsibility and safety seriously. You are open to receiving feedback, and you are comfortable providing feedback when you identify things which can be done differently to deliver more effective outcomes. You understand and are committed to contributing to and challenging the way we do things and to being part of the change that helps us evolve and ensure the City remains a great place to live and work.

The key responsibilities of Coordinator Traffic Engineering will include:
