About the Appointment
The successful applicants will have the opportunity to join the Acute Ophthalmology Service (AOS), Surgical Ophthalmology Service (SOS) outpatient clinics and also our specialised Emergency Department. There may be some scope for specialty clinics also depending on their availability and your qualifications and experience.
The Ophthalmology Senior Medical Staff provide efficient, effective and timely patient-centred care within the Unit’s area of medicine and ensure the delivery of these clinical services is in line with best evidence-based practice and the NSQHSS.
As a teaching hospital, candidates will be expected to have a track record of teaching junior medical staff as you will also be responsible for this task in a busy clinical setting.
Successful applicants will be Fellows of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Ophthalmologists (FRANZCO) and have current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).

Salary in accordance with the Medical Specialists (Victorian Public Health Sector) (AMA Victoria/ASMOF) (Single Interest Employers) Enterprise Agreement 2022 – 2026.
