About the role


We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Clinical Dental Assistant to work in the Dental Teaching Clinic at The Royal Dental Hospital of Melbourne. Reporting to the Dental Assistant Team Leader, you will provide support in the daily supervision of Dental Assistants within the team and in supporting clinical management operations.


Your responsibilities will include:

  • In collaboration with the Dental Assistant Coach provide support and mentoring to post graduates, undergraduates, trainees, clinicians, registrars and patient liaison officer.
  • Preparing rosters, ordering and managing consumables.
  • Producing monthly budget reports.

To be successful in this role you will need:

  • At least 7 years’ experience as a Dental Assistant.
  • Certificate III in Dental Assisting and Certificate IV in Dental Assisting or Training and Assessment.
  • Experience in managing clinical staff.
  • Strong knowledge of patient care processes, techniques and terminology within an oral health environment.
