Brimbank Council's Neighbourhood House Unit is seeking a Program Development Officer to join our dyamic team. This position is resposible for the development and delivery of neighbourhood house and community centre programs for communities in Brimbank. The position is based at West Sunshine Community Centre and is a fulltime permanent position.

Selection Criteria Essential: A tertiary qualification in community development or a related discipline or considerable demonstrated experience in community development work.

Essential: Demonstrated knowledge and experience in contemporary community development and community strengthening practice

Essential: Demonstrated successful and effective verbal and written communication skills.

Essential: Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with minimal supervision to achieve agreed deadlines.

Essential: Demonstrated knowledge of co-design principles in a community development context.

Essential: Demonstrated knowledge of cultural awareness and cultural safety in a community development context.

Essential: Ability to be respond to changing circumstances and adapt programs and service models to meet changing community needs.

Essential: Knowledge and experience of information technology including Microsoft Office Suite.
