Position Summary |
The Pedestrian Facilities Surviellance (RMP) Inspector provides the inspection and maintenance to the extensive network of concrete pathways (1,400 km) and kerb & channel (900km) to designated Road Management Plan (RMP) performance standards. Maintenance is largely provided by annual supply contractors with assistance from Council’s Road Services section.
The Key Responsibilities are:
- To undertake as a team member assigned RMP and customer request inspections and record the defects of Council’s footpath and kerb and vehicle crossings assets that exceed the current RMP intervention.
- To schedule, liaise and issue works to contractors programmed and response works and ensure these are delivered on time, within budget and to specification.
- To monitor and inspect contractor worksites for contract compliance.
- Physically inspect, measure and marking, Council’s footpath and kerb and vehicle crossings for maintenance works.
- Report the progress and value of allocated and approved works each fortnight.
- Lift and install standard warning signs, barricades, bollards etc. and lift repair materials to OH&S standards.
