Brimbank City Council is seeking an energetic and community focussed individual to support the day to day operations of Brimbank Learning Futures, a new facility operating from the council managed area of Visy Cares Hub. The position involves reception and administrative duties, venue bookings and managing the day to day operations of the facility with minimal supervision.

The position would suit someone who enjoys working with young people from diverse backgrounds, is community focussed, likes being part of a team and has excellent communication skills.

This is a temporary role up until June 2019.

Previous experience working in a community centre is desirable.

Selection Criteria Essential: Ability to work in accordance with our values and behaviours

Essential: Demonstrated experience in providing excellent customer service with an ability to work with and relate to a diverse range of clients, service users and service providers.

Essential: Certificate lll in Office Administration or similar and/or equivalent administrative experience

Essential: Well-developed written and verbal communication skills including the ability to liaise effectively with clients from different cultural/language backgrounds.

Essential: Demonstrated ability to plan and prioritise daily work to manage competing priorities and complete set tasks within required timelines.

Essential: Sound computer and digital literacy skills with competency in various software packages including MS Office Suite and Outlook.

Essential: Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a team environment.
