Position Summary

An opportunity exisits to join the supportive and dynamic team at Brimbank Maternal and Child Health Service in a permanent part time position.

 

The Maternal and Child Health Outreach Nurse will work collaboratively with kindergarten and child care services to achieve a well integrated service including assertive outreach. This role will assess, monitor, screen and provide information and advice to parents on the health, development growth and behaviour of children 0- school age, as per the DET program guidleines.
Selection Criteria Essential: Highly developed assessment and referral skills.

Essential: Experience in working in an outreach capacity and independently.

Essential: Demonstrated ability to manage workload and competing tasks and priorities.

Essential: Demonstrated ability to communicate and network effectively with families, colleagues, community agencies and government departments.

Essential: Demonstrated ability to work a team environment and positively contribute to the team.
