Position Summary

Brimbank City Council is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced Preschool Field Officer (PSFO) to be a part of the Families and Early Years Team. 

The position will support Early Years Educators, children with additional needs and their families to access and participate in funded Kindergarten programs in Brimbank. 

Candidates must have a Degree in Early Childhood together with related experience.

Extensive knowledge of the Early Years Frameworks and inclusive early childhood practices are essential.

 

This is a temporary full time position until 31 March 2017.
Selection Criteria Essential: Tertiary qualification in Early Childhood Education and at least five years experience as a Kindergarten Teacher

Essential: Well developed knowledge of the needs and issues relating to children with additional needs and their families accessing Kindergarten

Essential: Experience in capacity building of early years educators in relation to working with children with additional needs

Essential: Well developed knowledge and experience in inclusive practices in early childhood settings
