Position Summary

Council (Bowery Theatre) is seeking applications from suitably experienced industry professionals to fill a maternity leave vacancy.  The ideal candidate is required from mid-August for a 9-10 month engagement.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience:

  • programming for a diverse audience
  • developing artists and engaging audiences in a diverse community
  • working with, and supporting, a team of front of house staff

Selection Criteria Essential: Relevant tertiary qualifications along with previous experience in a similar role and /or extensive programming and project management experience in a performing arts centre / community context

Essential: Experience in developing, programming and implementing relevant and innovative arts and cultural initiatives within a performing arts centre context that engage an audience diverse in age, gender, cultural identity and ability

Essential: Experience in developing partnerships with performing artists to nurture their arts practice and mutual outcomes

Essential: Experience in leading, motivating and mentoring a small team of staff within a performing arts / community context
