Position Summary

 

Brimbank City Council is seeking an energetic and community focussed individual to support the day to day operations of Brimbank Learning Futures, a new facility operating from the council managed area of Visy Cares Hub. The position involves reception and administrative duties, venue bookings and managing the day to day operations of the facility with minimal supervision. 

The position would suit someone who enjoys working with people from diverse backgrounds, is community focussed, likes being part of a team and has excellent communication skills. Our ideal candidate will have strong administrative skills and be good at managing multiple tasks for the team

Previous experience working in a community centre is desirable.

Selection Criteria Essential: Do you have Certificate lV in Office Administration or similar and/or equivalent administrative experience?

Essential: Do you have demonstrated experience in providing excellent customer service with an ability to work with and relate to a diverse range of clients, service users and service providers?

Essential: Do you have well-developed written and verbal communication skills including the ability to liaise effectively with clients from different cultural/language backgrounds?

Essential: Do you have demonstrated ability to plan and prioritise daily work to manage competing priorities and complete set tasks within required timelines?

Essential: Do you have sound computer and digital literacy skills with competency in various software packages including MS Office Suite and Outlook?
