Position Summary

An Exciting and rewarding 12 month temporary position exists within Council’s Customer Service Team. 

This position is part of a dedicated team responsible for handling a broad range of customer enquires relating to all aspects of Council operations. The successful applicant would need to enjoy interactions with the community through a wide range of contact channels, including phone, face to face, correspondence, Webchat and customer satisfaction call backs. Team members are rostered on a daily basis to provide services from our Municipal Office at Sunshine or Service Centres at Keilor and Watergardens.

 Experience required:

  • Interactions with customers through a number of channels including phone, correspondence, face to face and Web chat in busy environments
  • Processing enquiries relating to a wide range of different products and services, with a high degree of problem solving expertise
  • Advanced computer skills
  • Excellent customer service aptitude with strong written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to communicate constructively with customers from a Cultural and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) Community
  • Cash handling experience
  • Highly effective time management and organisational skills with a demonstrated ability to work well under pressure.
