Position Summary

Brimbank City Council are now hiring an experienced OHS Advisor to join our People and Performance Department located in Sunshine.

This opportunity will suit someone who is seeking permanent part-time work and is passionate about safety and enjoys developing relationships that actively promote a proactive safety culture.

As the OHS Advisor you will work with a small team of safety professionals to provide high quality, expert advice and will facilitate and support stakeholders to work within the Council’s safety management systems.  Continuous improvement is a focus of the role and you will be actively involved in the delivery of programs and initiatives that have been identified in the organisations health and safety strategy.

Selection Criteria Essential: Do you have the ability to work in accordance with our values and behaviours?

Essential: Do you have three (3) plus years of experience in an OHS advisory role with appropriate supporting qualifications?

Essential: Do you have a demonstrated passion for OHS with the ability to promote a proactive and positive safety culture.

Essential: Do you have the ability to provide practical, fit for purpose safety solutions, whilst ensuring that legislative and business requirements are not compromised.

Essential: Do you have experience in developing and reviewing risk assessments, designing safe systems of work and mentoring stakeholders.

Essential: Do you have high attention to detail with the ability to develop and implement OHS policy and procedural documentation.
