Position Summary |
Brimbank City Council, Community Wellbeing Department is seeking a specialist to develop an early years outreach strategy and implementation plan, to improve engagement and maximise service access for vulnerable families. The role will be temporary, part time (3 days per week) up to 30/03/2020 and will build on Council’s Early Years Continuous Improvement plan and framework.
This role will work closely with Council's early years team and partner agencies to plan and facilitate pilot actions to improve engagement and maximise access for vulnerable families. This work includes developing and implementing program logic and frameworks for data collection and evaluation for activities such as the early years outreach bus, maternal and child health outreach services and playgroups. This will include work with Council’s team to implement and build capacity for data collection and monitoring and evaluation of continuous improvement actions

Selection Criteria |
Essential: Do you have a tertiary qualification in early childhood, health, social work, community development or a
related field.
Essential: Do you have demonstrated ability to write the Early Years Outreach Strategy.
Essential: Ability to support change to service provision, including testing, evaluation and
implementation of innovative approaches to maximise access to early years services for
vulnerable members of the community.
Essential: Demonstrated ability to work with staff to build capacity around data collection, monitoring
and evaluation of continuous improvement actions identified within the Early Years
Continuous Improvement Plan.
Essential: Ability to work in accordance with our values and behaviours
Essential: Do you have excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to effectively communicate with and gain co-operation from a range of audiences. |
