Position Summary

An opportunity exists for a qualified Maternal and Child Health Nurse to join our team within the Community Care Department.

This is a permanent part time position the location and hours to be determined.

 

Applicants need to be familiar with the requirements of the M&CH program and must have the ability to work well within a team. You must have a current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) as both a registered nurse and a registered midwife and to also hold recognised qualifications in maternal and child health nursing (or pre-1998 equivalent).
Selection Criteria Essential: Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) as both a registered nurse and a registered midwife and to also hold recognised qualifications in maternal and child health nursing (or pre-1998 equivalent).

Essential: Highly developed assessment and referral skills.

Essential: Experience in working with high needs clients and vulnerable families

Essential: Demonstrated skills in developmental assessment of children as per the M&CH Practice guidelines 2009.

Essential: Demonstrated ability to manage workload and competing tasks and priorities.

Essential: Demonstrated ability to communicate and network effectively with families, colleagues, community agencies and government departments.
