Position Summary |
The Social Support Program Leaders has direct responsibility for the efficient day to day operation of the Social Support programs for the aged, people with disabilities, people living with dementia and their carers. The position is also responsible for ensuring the provision of quality services and providing a safe environment for clients, staff and volunteers.
- Ensure the efficient running of the day program and provide timely responses to client, carer and staff issues
- Ensure programs and activities are culturally relevant to people from CALD communities
- Undertake program administration tasks including: processing client attendances, schedule client transport; order client meals; undertake ordering and purchasing of supplies; and monitor monthly accounts on Promaster and balance petty cash
- Ensure programs operate within the budget allocation
- Develop goal plans in consultation with the client / carer which identify the client’s needs and the best program to assist the client to achieve their goals
- Provide ongoing monitoring of the wellbeing of clients and review goal plans to respond to the changing needs of the clients to ensure quality of service provision and maximise care outcomes
- Conduct regular supervision with Program Assistants and provide ongoing support to staff on a daily basis
