Position Summary

There are nine Integrated Cancer Services in Victoria, including LMICS and Western Central ICS (WCMICS). They are funded by the Department of Health and Human Services to implementation of the Victorian Cancer Plan within their defined geographical regions.

 

LMICS and WCMICS have developed a pilot project to enhance the links between the regional and metropolitan services they represent. The purpose of this role is to support these services to implement improvements in the ways that patients are transferred between them. This will be achieved through developing, trialling and evaluating small change projects within individual health services.  This role will work closely with health services and clinicians to support the successful objective of this project.

 

Bendigo Health is the fundholder for LMICS and it is located in the Acute Division alongside Surgical, Oncology and Imaging services. The position will be based in Bendigo Health but will require travel to metropolitan Melbourne where a desk at WCMICS will be available.

Selection Criteria
Essential:
01.1. Tertiary degree qualifications in health, public health, health promotion, social sciences or a related discipline.

Essential:
02.2. Demonstrated experience of at least seven years managing successful multi-stakeholder projects or programs to deliver quality outcomes.

Essential:
03.3. Demonstrated knowledge of the Victorian health system including how to work closely with clinicians to meet agreed outcomes.

Essential:
04.4. Exceptional influencing and relationship management skills including the ability to develop and maintain strong collaborative partnerships.

Essential:
05.5. Well-developed interpersonal skills, incorporating written and verbal communication, negotiation, facilitation, problem solving and mediation skills.

06.6. Capacity to plan, prioritise and organise own work and project resources in an environment of change and competing demands.
