Bendigo Health’s Psychiatric Services Division provides a broad range of services to people with mental illness. Bendigo Health operates a 24 hour, seven days a week Psychiatric Regional Triage Service and has aligned services to support people who require crisis care. Psychiatric Services work with children and familes, youth, adults and aged patients and provide care and support in community settings through clinical teams that are situated across the Loddon Mallee Region

Title: Community Mental Health Lead Clinician

Department:Bendigo Adult Community Mental Health Team

Classification: SW2, OT2, RPN3
Salary: as per award.

Hours: 64 per fortnight
Status: part time fixed term

Selection Criteria
01.1. Current registration as Division 1 Nurse or Occupational Therapist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency or; Social Worker – membership, or meets the eligibility requirements for membership, with the Australian Association of Social Work.

02.2. Post graduate qualifications, or working towards, in mental health and/or related field.

03.3. Demonstrated experience and ability in community based assessment, support and treatment of people with a mental illness.

04.4. Sound knowledge of the Mental Health Act 2014 & Psychiatric Service Frameworks Procedures and Guidelines.

05.5. Commitment to an integrated community-based treatment model for people with a mental illness.

06.6. Proven ability to liaise and consult with relevant family members, team members and a broad range of health professionals and community agencies.

07.7. High level of organisational, communication and interpersonal skills.

08.8. Evidence of a commitment to ongoing professional development and compliance with all Bendigo Health mandatory training requirements.

09.9. Computer and data entry skills are highly desirable.

10.10. Drivers Licence – A current Victorian driver’s licence is required for this position.
