Bendigo Health is enjoying a very exciting time as we watch our new state of the art hospital emerge on the skyline.  In the new facility Psychiatry beds numbers will almost double, and our units will not only be co-located but will also be truly integrated into the hospital.  

With a total of 80 adult acute, older persons, extended care and parent-infant inpatient beds in our four new inpatient units, we are seeking motivated nurses to join our team in providing quality care to our patients.  We are a values driven organisation and, with our established Consumer and Carer support programs, provide excellent services to patients and their loved ones during their recovery journey in both inpatient and community settings.

Selection Criteria
Essential:
01.Current registration as an Enrolled Nurse with AHPRA (Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency).

Essential:
02.Experience or qualifications in psychiatric nursing and medication endorsement

Essential:
03.Demonstrated sound level of nursing skills and demonstrate ability to work within safe practice principles experience

Essential:
04.Excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills and well developed verbal and written skills

Essential:
05.Knowledge and understanding of the Victorian Mental Health Act 2014

Essential:
06.Demonstrated commitment to the provision of care which focuses on the individual

Essential:
07.Knowledge of, and experience in, quality improvement activities

Essential:
08.Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team as well as independently

Essential:
09.Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development

Essential:
10.Drivers Licence – A current Victorian driver’s licence is required for this position
