The Bendigo BreastScreen service is seeking a suitably qualified Data Manager (Health Information Manager).  Bendigo BreastScreen is one of eight Reading and Assessment Services across Victoria.  The service provides Screening, Reading and Assessment across the Loddon Mallee Region.  The service has a strong culture of caring for women, quality improvement and teamwork.


The Data Manager is responsible for all data system functionalities at Bendigo BreastScreen.  This includes the management of client/patient records. A crucial component of the functionality is the collection of data according to the BreastScreen Australia Data Dictionary and National Accreditation Standards. 

The position is for a 12 month period starting in April 2019, with the potential to be ongoing.

Selection Criteria
01.Hold a qualification in Health Information Management.

02.Previous experience developing and implementing quality activities to ensure information integrity, including data accuracy, completeness, consistency and timeliness.

03.Relevant experience with data system management.

04.Understanding and ability to gather, interrogate, analyse and present information for monitoring, evaluation, management and reporting purposes.

05.Demonstrated ability to provide leadership within an area of responsibility.

06.Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills at a management level, maintaining a polite, considerate and professional approach when dealing with others
